Issue and Steps to Reproduce

This error comes when trying to build or launch a project that uses the last alpha of the toolkit.

2.1.0-alpha.4

Additional Details

There seems not to be a problem with webpack / cra. The issue comes with vite applications or maybe applications that target esm. It is quite difficult to comprehend.
