Title

How we reduced our AWS bill from 2.2 million in 2022 to 1.9 million in 2023

Abstract

I will also be giving this talk at DevOps days Tokyo, in April. This is a full length 45 minute talk.

As the cloud engineering team lead for Civitaslearning, I lead the effort that reduced our yearly AWS bill from 2.2 milion USD in 2022, to 1.9 million USD in 2023. This is the story of how I did that, what I learned along the way, and what your organization can do to achieve similar results.
