Armored_Turtle claims that BoxTurtle can be made with any number of lanes:

But it seems to be unclear where to get the controller board for more than 4 lanes from ... as well as the STLs for the parts and the dimensions for the alu extrusions ...

There are complete Kits available for it, BOM-in-a-box for around 270€ and all printed parts for around 250€-270€, plus shipping from the USA (minimum 60€ to Germany for example).

Thanks for catching that! I've updated the Box Turtle comparison. To keep the comparisons even, I'm using US dollars for all prices.

Yep, sure. That's 300 US-$ for the "BOM in the box" and another 300 for the printed parts if you want to buy that as well (but it's available at least, printing yourself might take weeks, looking at the number and size of the parts ...
I like the servo driven rewind though, no buffers, less space occupied ...
