Expand map with a smooth animation

Hi guys,

I'm trying to implement an extend map button and I was wondering if you have any thoughts how it should be done.

This is what i have right now:

As you can see here, the animation is pretty junky.

To achieve the animation i had to call map.resize() in a setInterval function otherwise this would happen:

I am using the [email protected].
