Description

introduced by #32653

You can't open more than one radial menu at once. Very annoying for AI when working with doors.

Pretty sure this is intentional.

@qwerltaz can you explain, why u need more then 1 open?
New radial menu was done so you can do the action you need very fast, so if u need to do a lot of stuff at the same time, u don't pre-open and then spam actions, but just... click fast? As it doesnt need any precision now. Well that was the design at least.
If u memorise which action is within which sector, u should be able to do multiple actions in succession pretty fast, even in panic. Either this or radial secors are too small just now. That part is KINDA open for discussion...

With the old radial menu, I was able to quickly open radial menus for all bolted doors in an area e.g., after a greytide virus, then go somewhere else so the menus are all in one place and I can quickly unbolt all doors by clicking one singular point while taking care of something else already.

Overall, having ability to have multiple radial menu open was considered not intended (as they can overlap and create visual mess) and its currently planned to not let more then 1 radial menu of any type open at one moment of time. So, basically, yes, this scenario is most likely won't be supported, as it was not really intended

When someone clicks on a second door while having a radial already open, it seems far more likely to me that they want to switch to that one instead, rather than have multiple ones open. I'm not sure you could click multiple instances of the new UI with one click anyway, even if they were overlaid

Yeah, I agree with the comments above. Closing the existing radial menus when opening a new one makes more sense in most use cases and is better for performance. The new radial menu is designed to be faster in response, so opening multiple windows in advance is no longer needed.
