Skooner's 2022 Project Goals

Here are the areas and improvements we hope to focus on in 2022:

• Compatibility with the latest versions of Kubernetes
• Prometheus integration
• Recruit more contributors
• Performance (i.e. Pod loading)
• “Logs” UI Improvements
• External demo page and demo video
• Address config issues w/ OIDC (especially w/ Keycloak)

I'm more than happy to contribute to these goals. This project seems so good after only using it for a few days, but it needs a lot of attention. I'd love to hear from any of the existing maintainers on what happened over the last year, why so little commitment and progress? Have people moved on to something better?

I have submitted my first PR and am looking forward to submitting many more, to fix all the bugs, get rid of all the security vulnerabilities and add new features that will make this the best Kubernetes dashboard alternative out there.

As I have seen zero activity from any maintainers on this repo since I first came across it, I'd just really like to hear from someone, anyone, to reassure me that giving this project my time and attention is going to be worth it, or if I'm better off forking it and maintaining it myself?

I would love to see an update too. I started using Skooner recently and love the look and functionality. But I've submitted a couple PRs and there haven't been any responses yet, and it looks like there are a few areas of the project that are starting to bit rot. So I'm a little concerned about the ongoing health of the project.

Would be great to hear some sort of update on its status and whether folks should either try to become maintainers and refresh the project, or find another project that has a little more activity.
