Tiered Resource OverlaY (TROY) takes care of executing a given workload on one or more Distributed Computing Infrastructure (DCI). The execution is performed by means of a pilot framework, TROY taking care of deciding number, size and placement of the pilot(s) depending on the parameters of the workload, the targeted DCI and the scheduler.
