<dc:description xml:lang="de">Die Kernsymptome der ADHS (Aufmerksamkeitsdefizit-/Hyperaktivitätsstörung) sind Unaufmerksamkeit,
Hyperaktivität und Impulsivität. Kinder und Erwachsene mit ADHS zeigten neuropsychologische Defizite.
Diese Dissertation untersuchte Zusammenhänge zwischen den neuropsychologischen und motorischen
Leistungen, ereigniskorrelierte Potentiale (EKP), Intensity Dependence of the cortical Auditory
Potentials (IDAP), P300, Bereitschaftspotential, und Symptomen bei den Erwachsenen mit ADHS. An
dieser Studie nahmen 26 Patienten mit ADHS und 21 gematchte gesunde Kontrollprobanden teil. Außer
einem Patient waren alle Patienten mediziert. In den neuropsychologischen Leistungen gab es keine
Unterschiede zwischen den beiden Gruppen. Bei der IDAP zeigte die ADHS Gruppe niedrigere P2- und
N1/P2-Amplituden, sowie flachere P2- und N1/P2-Steigungen als die Kontrollgruppe. Innerhalb der
ADHS-Gruppe korrelierten P2-, und N1/P2-Steigungen negativ mit der (motorischen) Impulsivität.
Bezüglich der P300 Amplituden und - Latenzen gab es keine signifikanten Gruppenunterschiede.
Innerhalb der ADHS-Gruppe zeigten die parietalen P300 Amplituden signifikante positive Korrelationen
mit dem verbalen Gedächtnis, der verbalen Flüssigkeit, der Psychomotorik, und der Intelligenz.
Die P300 Amplituden korrelierten signifikant positiv mit den ADHS Symptomen im Kindesalter
(Wender-Utah rating scale), und der aufmerksamkeitsbezogenen Impulsivität (BIS-11). Im
Bereitschaftspotential zeigte die ADHS Gruppe signifikant niedrigere prämotorische
Bereitschaftspotentiale (Fpz, Fp2, F3). Die Ergebnisse deuten darauf hin, dass die ADHS Patienten
mit diesem hohen Funktionslevel kaum kognitive Defizite zeigen.</dc:description>
<dc:description xml:lang="en">The core symptoms of ADHD (attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder) are inattention, hyperactivity,
and impulsivity. Children and adults with ADHD also exhibited neuropsychological deficits. This
doctoral dissertation aimed at investigating the relationship between neuropsychological and motor
performance, event-related potentials (ERPs) - Intensity Dependence of Auditory evoked Potentials
(IDAP), P300 and Bereitschaftspotential (readiness potentials) - symptoms in adult ADHD patients.
Twenty-six patients with ADHD and 21 matched healthy control subjects participated in the study.
All patients were medicated. There were no significant group differences with regard to
neuropsychological measures. Groups also did not differ with regard to IDAP but patients with ADHD
showed lower P2- and N1/P2-amplitudes and flatter P2 and N1/P2 slopes than healthy controls. The
functional significance of these components is unclear. There were however significant negative
correlations between motor impulsivity (BIS-11) and P2, N1/P2 slopes within the ADHD group. There
were no significant group differences with regard to P300 amplitude and latency. Within the ADHS
group there were significant positive correlations between parietal P300 amplitudes and verbal
memory, verbal fluency, psychomotor function, and intelligence. P300 amplitude also correlated
positively and significantly with ADHD symptoms during childhood (Wender-Utah rating scale), and
attentional impulsivity (BIS-11). The prefrontal (Fpz, Fp2, F3) early (premotor) component of the
Bereitschaftspotential was significantly lower in ADHD patients than in healthy controls. The
results suggest that adult ADHD patients with a high functional level show only few cognitive
deficits. It is also conceivable that the medication compensated for attentional deficits.</dc:description>
