Hi.

My application has many pages, but when I try to open one of the them, the map overlays it. Is there any way I can make the html overlay the map?

The problem is that I need to put two buttons in the bottom of the page in front of the map, and in the top of the page, I need to put a search bar. The map overlays them.

Map stays always on top of all HTML elements, because it's not HTML element.
You can not display any HTML elements in front of the map. Sorry.

So is there no way of implementing buttons, or would this have to be done native side?

There is no way currently. Everyone asks me #34, #41, #73, #159.
I've been looking for better way, but it's far away.

Hi there and thank you for the fast answer. Next time I will search the issue in advance.
I think there should be a native hack as I can always display a button over a googlemap in Android, should also be possible in iOS though.

Another thing:
If there are a lot of people actually interested in this, maybe you could make an offer on how much it would cost to implement and we just share the price. Other companies do this as well and as for me, I have a professional interest in this, as I read, others also, so no problem if it cost something I guess.

Thank you for cheering me.
Yes, if everyone just want to a button, it's not so difficult.
However, they want to display image, dialog, other contents, ... etc,
so I don't want to add features every time.

Hi,
I'm also very interested to use the map as a normal DOM element. Maybe we can all work together on this feature.
And wf9a5m75 guides us through the project as much as he can.
