self-update
subcommand indicates in its help message:On archlinux, installing
mise
ormise-bin
from the AUR does not disable the online version check when runningmise version
nor theself-update
subcommand.Looking at the source code of
self-update
, it looks like the check to determine whether the subcommand should be enabled is only based on the presence of a file relative to the installation path of themise
executable.This is fine for portable installations, but shouldn't there be in addition a build option to disable it when building for a package, or at least a config option that can be set by default to disabled in the system-wide configuration?
