self-update subcommand not disabled when installed via package manager

The self-update subcommand indicates in its help message:

This command is not available if mise is installed via a package manager.

On archlinux, installing mise or mise-bin from the AUR does not disable the online version check when running mise version nor the self-update subcommand.

Looking at the source code of self-update, it looks like the check to determine whether the subcommand should be enabled is only based on the presence of a file relative to the installation path of the mise executable.

This is fine for portable installations, but shouldn't there be in addition a build option to disable it when building for a package, or at least a config option that can be set by default to disabled in the system-wide configuration?
