After pressing F2, can't enter password.

Version 53.0.2785.34 (64-bit)

Same problem on my HP Chromebook (arm-based).

Also broken in vanilla Chrome v53 (Version 53.0.2785.89 (64-bit)) on OSX.

It seems to work if you disable keyboard security in PwdHash Extension options.

And Chrome is now caching the UN-hashed password now. Doh!

It seems the changes in e633154 don't fix the problem. I can confirm that disabling keyboard security makes it work again.
