Describe the bug
When making selections on photos in order to assign faces to people in gramps, the selections often cannot be made overlapping. If I have a photo with one already selected person and try to create a second selection that overlaps, the selection will be canceled as soon as the mouse cursor hits the boundary of the already existing selection.
My assumption is that this is a frontend issue because automatically detected face selection often do overlap.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Go to a media object in edit mode
Create a first selection to mark a person, and assign this selection to a person
Create a second selection and while doing so, drag the cursor over the first selection (to make both overlap)
The second selection creation will be aborted and you will not be able to finish it.
Expected behavior
I would expect that I can create overlapping selections
