One of the major gripes we have gotten was that it disrupts flow when Navi asks the user permission to run commands.

For security purposes we instated this permission system to make sure the user was sure of what was being executed.

A potential compromise?

The idea here being:

  • We allow Navi autonomy to run commands based on user input.
  • We display a message the first time god mode is run per instance of Navi launched.
    • "Hey, I want to make sure you understand that you are granting me autonomy to run commands on your behalf. I want to make it clear that Saints Security Group LLC or myself Navi are not responsible for potential damages you might do to any systems I have access to. Yes or no?"

The hope is that eventually god mode allows us to have more fluent conversations with Navi so it can pull user command intent from conversations throw a quick contextually aware quip and execute the command

Example:
User > I wonder what the contents in ~Documents are?
Navi > Here let me look into that for you!

Executing: ls ~/Documents

  • ../
  • Hello.txt
  • Foo.html
  • Bar.css

The hope is this will lead to more natural conversation with Navi and thus more flow.
