What problem do you want to solve with this change?
Currently, you have removed the ability for the program to run with a bad configuration file. I believe this is bad in setups where PM2 and/or server mode is operating the mirror. Logs are difficult to see/get, and it is producing extra load on the forums in some situations.
What do you think is the correct solution?
I'd like magicmirror to change to restore a welcome screen by default - preferably showing the results of an enhanced config:check. This would provide help to fix the mirror without forum interaction.
in this case - Any client would then run and the user would be able to see errors right away to fix it.
I honestly believe that removing the welcome screen wasn't a user friendly move, and we're all working to be more user friendly, right?
