ice farm in skyblock

My issue is with ice farming in skyblock worlds that only spawn meadow biomes. My base is to be built out of ice (after discovering ice bricks). I 100% will not be unlocking thermal expansion because it's useless to me. There needs to be a different way to make ice (not through a mod) in skyblock worlds. I have tried everything and at this point I'm just extremely frustrated. I've even bridged out hundreds of blocks in all 4 directions in my single player world and it's just pure meadow biomes.
