How to set the starting position of the dropdown?

Is there a way to force where the datepicker should be displayed?

I have an issue where on the first click in the input, the datepicker goes outside of the viewport

but on the second click it gets displayed properly

Is there an option I've missed?

I had the option to do that but it was much simpler to let popper decide where it goes. Popper is supposed to be smart enough not to do that.
